Change of Season

Hi everyone,

How are you feeling this season?  Is it bright or dark? Is it positive or negative? Is it busy and exciting? Is it feedback that you can use?

As the world turns we experience a change of season. A summer, fall, winter and spring. Just like the weather, we personally experience changes in our mental, emotional, physical, and spiritual body systems.  And each change affects how we think, how we feel, and what we do.  And how we think, how we feel, and what we do affects outcomes.  The outcomes can be positive or negative.

Each season brings a gift or a curse of some sort. At times it can bring both.  I’ll talk about that a bit later.  But for now, let’s focus on this gift.  There will be the season where you will receive a gift of wisdom, clarity, energy, good health, happiness, love, and wealth. Then there is the season where you will receive the curse of doubt, confusion, exhaustion, sickness, sadness, hate, and lack.  We are personally experiencing summer, fall, winter and spring throughout our entire lives. It is unavoidable and can be irritating. But, believe it or not, we are the life force/energy that can drive our personal seasons.

What does this all mean?  It means that we are living in a world that is ever changing. And in that world, we ourselves are ever changing. Nothing stays the same. We can choose to evolve and weather the changes or we can wither away.

A change of season comes in many forms. Even death does not always show up as a physical death.  Have you ever seen someone who seemed to be on the top of the world,  and all of sudden lost themselves?  They could have experienced an emotional or spiritual death. Yes, it happens, and it happens very often.   And for those who are looking for answers, the answers lie within yourselves. Everything that happens around you, is outside of you.  Meaning that you have control over yourself and your destiny. Everything that you need resides within yourselves. You have the choice to make things happen for the better or worse. Meaning that things don’t stay the same or have to stay the same. After it rains and pours, the sun comes out. After the winter snow, and storms, flowers blossom.  After darkness comes light. Even with death, the spirit lives on.

Can a change of season be a curse and a gift?  Absolutely! Some of the most successful people have experienced both.  Michael Jordan and Jennifer Hudson, for example, succeeded despite rejection and disappointments. So, I’ll leave you with this,

we fall down and we get up.

Embracing the change that life has to offer.

Get up, stand up, don’t give up the fight!

  1. In the U.S.A., we have four season. I have always love the fact that we have four seasons because each transition into the new season reminds me of new beginnings. For me, it reaffirms the saying “nothing in life is permanent.” Needless to say, my favorite season is Spring. I bet you can imagine why. Rebirth!

This excerpt of your post sums it all for me “After it rains and pours, the sun comes out. After the winter snow, and storms, flowers blossom. After darkness comes light. Even with death, the spirit lives on.” – JAM

In Psalm 30:5, King David wrote “…. weeping may endure for a night, but joy cometh in the morning.” This verse reminds and encourage us that nothing is Permanent. Whatever situation we find ourselves, let us be encouraged that this too shall pass. Our joy will come in the morning. Our season of rebirth/growth is coming. Our Springtime will come in due time.

We are an intricate part of our destiny. It’s all about how we deal with the different seasons, both positive and negative, of our lives. Shalom!

Just my beta bold view 😉

  2. Hi Momof2! Life is one big giant playpen, and the journey definitely has its ups and downs. Meaning that at any given time things can be better than expected, and at other times nothing we ever expected.
The beauty of this phenomenon is that we get to try different things at different times and we get to try try try again. I love this life of changes, chances and opportunities!! As long as we do our part, God will do his part. We do our best, and God will do the rest!!! I’m never quite ready or prepared for the change of seasons but I know that it’s happening and I better get ready. Let’s do this!!! I promise that you’ll find a better you
